coolidge=cooltown

went to the mvd today to get a new drivers license with my new name. we went to the only one that is open on saturdays in the entire east valley. opened at 8am, we got there at 8:15. the parking lot was full. completely full. there was a line of people that wrapped around the building. it was like a line to a big name artist's final farewall concert. flipping ridiculous. neither linc or me have time for this. so we left. i got up freaking early for no reason. i will have to attempt it next tuesday which is my only short day of the whole week, but i have a feeling it will not be any better. i don't know, i may have to suck it up and go back to the one this morning and just deal with the line to get it over with.

last night we went to dinner w/lincoln's brother and his wife. we went to the keg steakhouse. our waitress was a nitwit. it was funny to watch taylor ask her all kinds of questions and she would just make something up so she could answer him. everything they brought out the gave to the wrong person. then she threw away the cork to the wine bottle so taylor couldn't take the rest of it home. so he and linc had to drink the rest of it. its funny to see two grown men tipsy off wine. plus linc had wine mouth, where his teeth were slightly purple. i had a glass of it, not a big wine drinker. reminds me too much of church. and i will only drink it cold, once it warms even slightly, i don't like it.

it's fun to have dinner with taylor and erin. they're good people. we always talk about interesting things, like the latest trip taylor's taken, the funny things their kids do, or how timmy h. was dancing with a cow head at the bar in coolidge. good times.

they've been having these poker nights at their house. pretty fun. i never play, i just watch. so a couple of weekends ago, linc had a poker training session for me, my brother brian, and his gf judy. judy and i schooled the boys. maybe it's because i would watch linc play or something, but i could just read him like an open book. but in the end it was judy who took all the chips. we didn't play for money, which when you do, it changes the game completely.

at dinner we got to talking about buying a house. linc and i would love to have a house, but everything is so flippin expensive. last fall we were looking and homes were going for $150k or more, and we thought that was kinda steep. i mean theses weren't nice homes, or they were out in the boonies past the rez. so we waited. and missed our chance. a house out in maricopa that we were looking at that was $140k or so, is now pushing $300k. yup that's right. condo's in town, 2 bedroom, are at least $150k. queen creek was the big place for 1st time home buyers, then maricopa, then way west phx, now its florence and coolidge. COOLIDGE! but, i want a house. we can't raise a family in an apartment. it's sad. so we may very well end up in coolidge. i just hope someone else i know moves out there besides the dalmacio's.

i really should get started on some chores and homework. my apartment is a mess. not dirty/stinky just disorderly. really only needs a quick wipedown and vaccuum. but i just want to put it off. bleh.

Don't move to Coolidge. Thats to far away. I hear you on the house thing. Nate and I are kinda looking nothting to seriouse but OMG it's ridiculouse. I did find this magazine at the Chandler mall in the food court of differant relators and stuff. I am not saying they were cheap but there were some in the high 100 and mid to low 200. As well as people that deal exclusively with first time buyers.
