music makes the world go round

yesterday i got home from school and i had 47 emails. 47! normally on a good day i get maybe 13 and 10 of them are from target or barnes & nobles or crap like that. the 47 i got yesterday were all about myspace.com. i made myself a page on that because my brother and cousins are on it and if you want to see their pictures you have to have a page too. so these 47 emails were all from random people who saw my picture under "cool new people" (yeah i'm cool) and felt compelled to send me a message or add me as their friend. the messages were the most random crap, one girl wanted to know where i bought the jeans i was wearing in the picture, another wanted to know what was cool to do in queen creek. and one guy (in his 30's) even argued with me that i was too young to get married and the it was going to end in divorce. what an ass! so i had to turn off the setting that sent you an email whenever someone messaged you. it was a good thing i did because today i had 300+ people add me as their friend and 60+ messages. crazy people. some of them seem nice and all, but it just amazes me. here's a link to my page if anyone cares http://myspace.com/mellynns

hmm, other news: i got my tax test back. i kicked trash. i only missed points on stupid mistakes, like adding errors. what a sad accountant i'd make, can't even add right : )

today i saw a lady wearing shoes that looked like she had skinned big bird and made flip flops out of him.

i think i am a bit pathetic. it is only 6:45pm and i am ready for bed. the only things keeping me up are that fact that lincoln hasn't made it home from work and that smallville is on in 15mins. did you hear that nicholas cage named his baby boy kal-el after superman's kryptonian name. how cool is that? how sad is that that i think thats cool?

i got a call from the wall street journal today. apparently my newspapers are being delivered to the wrong apartment and are causing a health hazard for the woman that lives there because she is wheelchair bound. but the strange thing is, i've been getting my newspapers everyday. my delivery guy screwed up the first couple weeks and i received them sporadically but ever since i complained about it, i get them. so it looks like i have two subscriptions and one of them is going to kill some poor lady in a wheelchair. i wonder if i will be held responsible for that karma wise or if the delivery guy is really just a moron?

last bit of stuff before smallville comes on and i hit the hay. in the state press today, there was an article about how this one girl can no longer listen to certain songs if the used to "belong" to her and an ex. isn't that weird, but i think every girl can relate? i have plenty of songs from back in the day that reflect a certain part of my relationship with my bubs. like the summer he was in coolidge, sick with the flu, and i didn't know why he was mad at me, and mariah carey's song "my all" was on the vh1 playlist. or the shania twain song. or any of the songs i downloaded while stuck in tucson missing my bubs in the valley. i can hear a song and remember almost exactly what i was doing when that song was on, or where me and linc stood when it was popular. i am such a, hmm lost the word, but when it comes to sad mushy songs, i always find them on any cd. and they become my favorites.

Nates watching Smallville right now. I am not a big Superman fan. But I can't get enough of Gilmore Girls, One Tree Hill (recent), and I watched the premier of Related last night and liked it alot too. I think the last two weeks has been the most tv I've watched in months. I am such a bad student I should be doing homework. Ah well, it's nice to be lazy.
