ahh the little things in life

i was trying to make every blog title a line from a song (like the good ol' msn messenger days when my friends and i would hear a song and fight over who got to have it as their name on messenger) but since there is no music on at the present time i can't think of a good one.

just finished reading benny's blog. love when he (you) update. takes me back...

spring semester - my last semester - starts in exactly 5 days. my acc450 teacher has already sent us a bunch of information because *gasp* we have a quiz 2nd day of class (which is really the 2nd week so i guess the gasp was a bit unnecessary). spent $270 on textbooks for this final semester of 2 classes. friggn ridiculous!

got the victoria secrets swimsuit catalog in the mail today. is it really almost swimsuit season? egad...

at work my department is starting a health challenge in feb. we make a list of things we want to improve about ourselves healthwise, assign them points and then keep track of them for 90 days. this is perfect for me. i already made a list of my own things even before this: drink more water - i know that's why i get these headaches, i am dehydrated; walk to campus - i got lazy and rode the flash, and my a$$ got bigger in a flash; follow my "abs diet" meal plan - it is only for 6 wks but i think me and linc can make it work; exercise 4 times a week in addition to walking to campus - need to get in better shape, i am getting pudge in places i didn't know you could. looking forward to a healthier me.

tomorrow is mine and lincoln's cheat night for the "diet". soo craving casa reynoso!!

since class got out in december i have read 9 books: 4 nicholas sparks books (the notebook, the wedding - benny tell mom to read this!, a walk to remember, message in a bottle), the godfather (which is way more in depth than the movie), the abs diet, 2 harry potter books (not the actual novels, other ones, a bit silly but cute), and great expectations (not the one by charles dickens, although if i remember right that is a good one too). i have one more nicholas sparks book to finish before i have to read textbooks again.

well i guess i can start dinner - spaghetti w/whole wheat pasta. i am embarrassed to admit but my stubbornness (sp?) about food has kept me from enjoying some pretty tasty items. like whole wheat bread, surprisingly tasty, throw a slice or two of fresh deli turkey, american cheese, a swipe of miracle whip and plenty of spinach (another tasty gem). mmmm whatta lunch. and don't get me started on smoothies! love them, lincoln's mom gave us this awesome blender that at first looked too hard to use but i am a pro now. throw in some hard as a rock frozen whole strawberries and they go from rocks to delicious in under 10 seconds. amazing. add some honeydew, vanilla (all natural) yogurt, skim milk, a banana, and whey powder. drinkable heaven, i kid you not.

anyway, i better get go - here's a song line to end the entry with. old habits die hard. ps benny i need to borrow your christmas gift to copy :)

i'll keep you my dirty little secret, don't tell anyone or you'll be just another regret
