i hope that love (s)he gave was just enough to save you you nearly broke heart my just look at what you're tearing apart

i know i've said this before, but i am gonna say it again. i wish i could just quit school and work and just watch people for a living. seriously. can you get paid for that? people just amaze me. i love just thinking - what are they thinking?!?

as i was walking to campus from bfe aka lot 59 (i choose to park far away as an excuse to get some exercise), i was behind this guy that linc would classify as a cheesewad. trendy clothes, hat on sideways, gunther glasses, and of course mandatory ipod. don't get me wrong i love the ipod. one of the greatest inventions known to man. i wish i had my own so i didn't have to always skip through megadeath and scorpions and ozzy (linc's stuff). excuse me, i digress. back to the matter at hand. so this guy is walking along with his i-am-such-a-bad-ass strut. he is blaring his ipod so loud that i can hear what he is listening to. guess what it was. go ahead i'll wait while you ponder over this...

ASHLEE SIMPSON!!! i could totally hear "i didn't steal your boyfriend" just killed me, had to instanly text lincoln.... highlight of my day.

until about 1pm.

i am making the trek back to bfe aka lot 59. i am on the phone with linc discussing my feelings about the marketing test i just failed. actually i think we might have been on the subject of cats. yes, cats. but anyway, this guy flies by me on his skateboard. he hits a bump or something and totally goes flying off. head first into a palm tree. i tried not to laugh out loud. but when he turned around to see if anyone noticed, he looked right at me and i gave him a empathetic smile. he laughs, shrugs it off, gets back on his board. then tells me, its ok, you can tell your friend. i had been trying to continue the riveting conversation linc and i were partaking in about cats or whatever, but had to laugh out loud and blurt out, this guys totally just biffed it on his skateboard and hit a palm tree! shared a good chuckle with linc. that guy has a good outlook on life. find the humor in things and don't let them get you down. mad props.

btw - my first day at the new job went well. the ladies and william (the only guy in my immediate department, a few others are in finance) are a nice group of people. entertaining. they had my cubicle all decorated with a big banner that said welcome melanie. and we had ice cream cake too. it was fun.

i was actually late on my first day. how great is that. stupid 202. accident about 4 miles from my exit but was backed up all the way down.

hmm since i am procrastinating from doing the dishes, which is a requirement of blog keeping... what else happened that was exciting?

well my birthday is 5 days away. how exciting (sarcastic). birthdays just aren't the same. i mean all the good ones, the milestones, have passed. now i am just getting older with no added benefits. until i reach retirement age. how depressing. plus i just don't know what to do for my birthday. i've actually had a few people ask which kinda makes me feel a little less sorry for myself. there is always margarita rocks :)
