i am always nagging lincoln to brush his teeth before bed. he thinks once a day is good enough. as gross as that may seem, he surprisingly has really good teeth. he hasn't had a cavity in the last five years, even when he would drink tons and tons of soda and eat lots of sugary candy. i, on the otherhand, brush my teeth a few times a day, before i go anywhere, and before i go to bed. i just got back from the dentist and have 5, count 'em, 5 cavities! where is the logic in that? i must clarify that they aren't exactly 5 new cavities, just old ones that the fillings have either fallen out or didn't get the job done in the first place. plus, i think i just have weak teeth. maybe i am calcium deficient or something.
i had to switch dentists due to the marriage and change of insurance. my previous dentist kinda flaked out on me in the end so it was time for a change. but this new one is definitely different. kinda old school dentistry. my previous dentist had just moved to a new location where they had computers in every room and all kinds of high tech high end equipment. at this new one, they couldn't even get the light that they put over you to turn on. but the people were very nice so it makes up for it. and it feels like they know what they are doing. catching mistakes from my previous one anyway.
so now i have to go back for 2 1-hour appointments to get my teeth all fixed up. yuck. i hate getting my mouth numbed. hate being numb-faced and not being able to annunciate words...
other news: school is in full swing. can't wait for it to be over. paid my graduation fees and got my cords (magna cum laude, thank you very much) and diploma holder. it seems like life would be easier with the lighter class load and lack of tax season, but its not. as amy put, i don't really have more free time because i have found other things to fill it up. such as myspace. stupid stupid myspace. it amazes me what people are up to now that they are not in high school and/or globe. and it amazes me who either never left globe or went back. maybe some day we will move there. not a terrible place to raise a family. but not any time soon, i like big city (well bigger city than globe) living. i like having several malls and movie theaters and restaurants and dance clubs and stuff. and it is kinda nice to not have to see the same people day in and day out. although it seems like i always see globites any way. like sam cunningham and jeff belvado at margarita rocks. it made me feel really old that my old grade school friend's little brother is old enough to be out in the clubs. and it made me feel pretty dumb to be dancing where i was when i saw him...
speaking of tax season (see brief mention above) i did our tax return. we are still waiting on one 1099 for confirmation of dividends but other than that, being married definitely has some monetary benefits. we are getting quite a bit back. about the cost of our wedding/honeymoon. which is fun and exciting, but if i had my way, we wouldn't get anything back and we wouldn't owe either or not owe alot. it bugs me that we, and by we i mean linc, lets the government have our money all year interest free. but a bigger refund is different than a couple extra bucks each paycheck that gets spent on eating out or groceries. while with the big refund we can go to disneyland (please linc) or invest in some stock or pay off stupid debt in order to get that house.
well, i have a workout to get to and some reading to finish. ttfn (ta ta for now - good ol tigger)
