saving money can be stressful.

we have a goal of a certain amount of money that we want to have by the end of october. it is completely do-able but just the thought process of it all can be stressful. if we can plan on using lincoln's paychecks to pay the bills and feed and fuel us and put the remainder and my entire paychecks into our money market, we will reach that goal. that way we don't have to sell our stock (that dropped like $15/share in the last couple weeks).

but the way my mind works, i like to sit and plan out different scenarios. i've got the calculator out and i am just running some numbers. i am such a nerd. i remember at my old job i loved my 10-key. i would always run numbers on our living expenses or estimate how much money we will make for the month. then when i left b&k and went into data entry, i didn't have a 10-key. sad face.

6 months i went without. but now that i am an accountant, my friend has returned.

can i be any more losery?

today with some co-workers we went to this soda pop shop on mcdowell and scottsdale road. all the sodas there are in glass bottles. you can get the coke and pepsi from mexico which is sweeter for some reason.

i picked up a coke, a pepsi, a fresca, a rootbeer, a cream soda, and a strawberry pop (crush). they are chillin in the fridge as i type, can't wait to crack a cold one open. can't decide which one will be my first.

i went 1.5 years w/o a soda (knowingly, there may have been some sprite in a punch or two). i can count how many i've had on one hand since i got back on the wagon. not as good as it was but i do enjoy the sugar rush. i don't think i will ever get as bad as i was, and i really wasn't that bad. on campus i used to drink a soda everyday, just to stay awake in class. but that subsided when i was trying to watch my expenses.

back to our money game plan - after we pay all mandatory bills, we are gonna try to live off of $600/month. we are gonna have to make it work. casa rey is on vacation so that will help for the next two weeks. i think we will manage. we used to get by on less than that back in the day.

anywhoo - i think i will see what the tube has to offer. it is getting toasty on this side of the apartment.
