valentine's day is just around the corner, can't you feel the love?

linc and i have never been much for valentine's day. my birthday is just a few weeks later and then linc's is just a few days after that. and especially after last year's episode (not to be discussed) i really didn't think we would be doing a whole lot this year. well, i completely ruined linc's plans of buying some roses and hand delivering them to me at work (which would have been so "movie-scene") by asking too many questions about why he needed to take cash out. so instead, we picked out some flowers together at costco for a steal. i love tulips and so i got some red ones and linc picked out a dozen assorted colors of roses - reds, oranges, pinks, and purple (never seen a purple one before, i love it!). the kitties are fascinated by them and keep trying to eat the leaves. so i have to have a spray bottle handy to squirt them when they get too close.

nothing really new to report. work is the same. no news on the house.

i've lost over 5 lbs in a few weeks on the south beach diet and that's with cheating. i've almost cured my tummy issues (if i'd stop cheating i think i would be all better). i've been doing different 30 min workouts each day and can definitely tell my shape is improving. linc has lost about the same amount of weight but he goes to the gym now and may be gaining muscle weight. i actually enjoy this diet. we've barely added whole wheat and bran and fruit and i can tell a difference from just veggies, dairy and lean meats. so i am backing off some off the grains but leaving in the fruit.

anyway, that's that... nothing else to say... blah, how dull :)
