the other day i went to a foot doctor to check on my ankle that still feels yucky. well, good news, its not broken. it looks like i only pulled some tendons and ligaments.
bad news. i have old lady feet. the dr was very concerned about the size of my bunions.
yes, bunions.
the first thought that comes to mind when i hear the word bunion is nasty crippled feet. i always thought it was a callous or something. and that my feet were different.
apparently not. for my age i have incredibly large bunions. and as long as they don't give me grief, i won't have to get surgery which, google it. basically they would saw off my big toe and twist the bone over, tighten some ligaments, then screw my big toe back on. sounds fabulous, doesn't it? can't wait.
and mom has the same issue and neglected to share this genetic malady with her children.
i shouldn't have to have that done as long as i take care of them. so in three weeks i have to go back to the foot dr and get x-rayed and get special inserts to wear in my shoes so i won't be a cripple.
now i am so aware of how ugly my witch feet look. i have always hated my feet and now i really hate them. i've never had a pedicure because i don't think any one is worthy of such a heinous punishment.
i'd post a picture of my freak feet (nub included) but i don't want to make any one puke.
love.
