yadda yadda yadda

as we are fast approaching the end of 2008 (and one of my most interesting years to date) i thought it might be appropriate to reflect on the past year and look forward to the next (which i reckon will be even more interesting than the last).

we started the year off right spending it with family, enjoying some rock band which would soon become a common event here at the hansen house.

we went to vegas for our 25th birthdays.

saw the suns play.

went to a dbacks game.

developed a mutual enjoyment of sushi.

after an ill-fated attempt at a competitive run, i ended up with 10 weeks of physical therapy and a franken leg.

enjoyed rocky point with family.

made some new friends and rekindled friendships with old.

saw several concerts and comedians and movies.

somewhat decorated our house.

finished the front yard landscape and somewhat finished the backyard.

kareoked in public.

fell in love with "dorky" spin class.

perfected my "speed reading" while lincoln mastered his hand-eye coordination by unlocking achievements.

made apple pie, twice.

of course, there was more than just "events" and "activities" that made this year what it was. but personal development is well, personal. but i feel i spent my 25th year "living it up" doing things a mid-twenty-something can do. because from i hear, it's all downhill after 25 :)

anyway...

so christmas was different this year. lincoln worked late for the weeks leading up to it. christmas eve day i spent baking pies for us and cooked a pot roast for dinner. he got home late, we ate, then we watched movies and ate pie with the christmas tree lighting the room.

christmas day we slept in. weren't exchanging gifts. we were thinking of going to globe but the rain kept us at home and in our pajamas. plus i had a monstrous headache (perhaps from the plethora of pie) and we just lounged about. we stopped by my brother's house to wish them a merry christmas and play a little rockband. then we saw benjamin button (and loved it). and that was our christmas. quiet and calm and just right.

plus i wasn't feeling that jolly since the friday/saturday before christmas i was robbed of my beloved canon camera and orange enV cell phone while on mill trying to be 25 with my sister in law. never trust a herd of foreigners. they trick you with their accents and distract you while swiping all the contents of your ever so tiny black handbag. i can't prove it but i strongly suspect...

i was able to get a new phone (ripped off) and a reasonably priced camera. both of which i feel naked without. but i still feel absolutely sick. who can afford new gadgets in this economy? right kimball?

happy new year!

yes thats true no one can afford those things these days. Just blame the economy it works great and puts your prollems aside.

Hey you forgot to add the hi-lite of the year when I moved in part-time and was eating all your steak.

A camera I could do without, but if I lost my phone???? Well then I just get a new one(after cursing the economy) and upload all the information that's backed up on my computer at home. I love my palm phone. And berries.
