this morning on my way to work i was listening to my favorite morning show - holmberg's morning sickness on 98kupd. i have what you call a "voice crush" on john holmberg. i think it's because he makes me laugh...
so this morning, they had tracy morgan in the studio. along with tom arnold. i love tracy morgan, i'm a big 30 rock fan and have enjoyed him since his snl days. tom arnold i could do without, but together they had me chuckling. john says he met them when he was in tampa for the superbowl and they were in town for the nba all-star stuff. tom tells john that adam sandler is also in town and tom has his number. i love adam sandler!! i had most of his movies on vhs and some now on dvd and had the biggest crush on him from snl. ahh, red hooded sweatshirt, opera man, cajun man...
so i call lincoln (like i do every morning to make sure he is out of bed and not running late for work) and tell him to turn on the radio.
so they call adam and he apparently is friends with christoper walken (who fascinates and frightens me) and mr. walken is in the car with him and they are on their way to the studio! i am just giddy with excitement and am actually wishing my drive to work would take longer than the 45-60 minutes it normally takes.
apparently there is a comedy club in scottsdale called mardi gras bar and craig gass is performing there this weekend. and all these guys are his buddies and are in town anyway, so will be at the show.
i call lincoln and ask if tickets aren't astronomical (BotE) can we go?? he is unsure but can tell i am really interested and says ok.
at work i look up the club and tickets are only $25!! when we went to the improv to see jimmy fallon and kevin nealon, tickets were more than that...
so i google search craig gass and pull up his wikipedia page. apparently his specialty is impersonating famous people, specifically tracy morgan, tom arnold, adam sandler, and christoper walken. i send the radio station a text and ask if that was craig doing all the voices. they texted me back and confirmed that i am a complete bonehead.
this guy was that good. his impersonations were spot on! which makes me kinda still want to go see him, but my pride was hurt by his (and holmberg's) trickery. clever ruse.

I was a dedicated Holmberg fan for years (even since his days on 101.5 the Zone) but now not so much after all his comments of how hot Dakota Fanning was as an 8 year old. And then I started noticing he has a lot of pedophile tendencies. I gotta draw the line somewhere.
i didnt know that. I'll pretend I didn't hear that.
My favorite is still Creepy E when he kicked some guys trash at a gas station at 5 in the morning
we're all still waiting for you to hit Publish..
