The JIC maternity pants made their second appearance today. I’m really getting desperate. If I could I would just wear pajamas to work, but I don’t think my bosses would appreciate that. Although I may start wearing slippers because my feet are soo swollen.
I am 37 weeks & 2 days. Technically Baby H is considered fully baked. But we’ll let the little nugget stay in a little longer.
I have had some “false labor” pains the last few days. But being the n00b* that I am, I did get a little worked up the first time on Monday. But it didn’t last very long and when I saw the OB that afternoon, there was no sign of an early appearance. She said the baby is still head down (has been for the last several weeks) and weighs less than 7lbs. Good heart rate and I am doing good. Last week she recommended a stronger med for my heartburn because it was making me throw up and I was dehydrating my baby. I’m such a bad mommy already. I wish I had tried the new med (Pepcid Complete) sooner because it has been smooth sailing since I started it.
She thinks I am such a happy, smiley person (ha, if she only knew), she can’t wait to see how I am with a baby.
I only have 9 days left of work. Very excited for that. I’ve trained all my coworkers to handle my stuff while I am out, so now I’m just doing “might as well” projects. “Might as well” – an excuse I always give Lincoln when asking him to do things, since he is already doing one thing, he “might as well” do the other thing too. My boss actually used that on me yesterday…
I work in a department of 2 other women and 1 man boss. But we work closely with the Accounts Payable department. Those sweet ladies held a potluck luncheon for me and Baby H yesterday. One lady makes these fabulous cakes for every occasion and she even made me a diaper cake. I’ll post pictures as soon as I get them. It was short and sweet, just like I like it.

funny side story -
due to my poor sleeping habits of late, i frequently catch lincoln talking in his sleep. it's nothing new, he can be quite entertaining. like the time he placed his lunch order of a grilled cheese and soda. or the time he frantically was looking for the package that he needed to deliver.
well the other night he popped up and was ranting and raving about hell and the devil. kinda scary! i say what? and he repeats himself. i ask him are you asleep? he says yes! then tells me that the hardest level is the devil. i try to go back to sleep, vowing to remember word for word his rant so i can tell him the next day. well, i forget most of it.
then last night, he starts doing his best aunt donna donald duck impression, then mutters in a scary voice "gollum, gollum" and laughs maniacally. i quickly grab my phone and send him a text message with his nonsense. well, it seemed like a good idea at the time, but i didn't realize his incredibly loud text alert would wake him up... oh well. we got a good chuckle out of it.

I love the side story, absolutely hilarious!
He was dreaming of Plablo 3. that's good that he's as excited as I am for it to come out. Why don't you record his animal antics on your quides phone?
Oh, I wish I had read your blog last week cuz as "they" say, laughter is the best medicine. I feel pretty healthy right now. Thanks Lincoln.
