my brother and his wife judy had their baby, vivia reyna, on 1/14. vivia and gemma are 5 weeks apart. but size-wise, vivia makes gemma look ginormous. my sweet giant baby. vivia was 7-13 at birth and 18.5 inches, while gemma is closing in on 13lbs and 24 inches. it was fun to do some comparisons. their first meeting was at feeding time so they kinda rolled in and tried to eat each other. vivia snuck in a side kick and gemma was not pleased. i can't wait for them to get a little older so they can really interact with each other.
gemma turned 6 weeks old today. she is doing really well. she's starting to really study us and even make a few coo's and aah's. and she's even smiled at me (and it wasn't just gas!). she's close to sleeping 4 hours straight during the night but still thinks midnight means playtime. she's starting to outgrow most of her clothes. all her 3-6 mos gerber onesies are way too small. it'll be time to do another round of shopping soon.
we took her to visit all her "aunties" at my work. everyone just raved about how good she was (and she was a perfect angel, so calm). plus the standard comments of admiration. really, is anyone going to say differently?
several ladies said she looks just like her daddy. and i have to admit, she really does. i honestly thought she would look just like me, but every day she looks more and more like lincoln.
oh, and she is really sad that conan was fired. she's going to really miss his nerd impression.

Sweet Little Gemma looks like Lincoln in the one with the cardinals t-shirt. She has that scowl/butt hurt look that he gets when he's mad or gets woken up.
i think the same thing about the scowl. i've even had lincoln make that face so i can compare. identical.
