neiner, neiner

i know i haven't posted in awhile and i'd like to say its because i have been soo busy, but that would only be half true. the only reason i have been busy is because i was very lazy. now i have to make up for it and hustle. gonna be a crappy week. 2 more tests this week, already took one. 3 more next week.

this weekend i went to globe for a hansen family fhe. that in itself was pretty uneventful. although i did get some cute pictures of the nieces and nephews. after the hansen gathering, we went to mi madre's house to visit before heading back home. well, we were just sitting around shooting the ish. linc was on the computer doing some geneology (spelling?) and he started asking my mom a bunch of questions to add my side to the family tree. pretty soon, benny and me are up to our necks in old school stuff and ugly stick people drawings that mom saved for all of us kids since vince was little. we were trying to find things about when grandpa manuel and gramma fifi died. but it turned into a whole 'nother monster.

it was awesome. we were up until almost 2am cracking up over some of the stuff mom saved. and some of the stuff we did. we were weird kids. for example, i found a bunch of benny's certificates in my piles that were torn in half. i bet you anything that was because i tore them up, since we all know me and benny didn't get along until he was like 11. but the fact that mom saved them...

but the funniest thing had to be when i found this semi-crumpled up legal size piece of paper with 4 lines typed crookedly across the middle. it read:

DEAR ELENA,

we got 5 dollars from nana. so there. neiner, neiner.

SINCERELY,
MELANIE&BRIAN!

i kid you not. it was the best. my dad stated the obvious when he said,"you and brian were always doing weird stuff."

good times.

That has to be the funniest thing I have read in a long time.
