for once linc made it home relatively early and what are we doing? i am blogging and he is playing splinter cell. and what did we do for dinner together? i had leftover tater tots and he had mint chocolate chip ice cream.
work was pretty tough today. my brain feels fried. i had to learn how to do colorado sales tax which took all day. i started it yesterday, then went into work early and worked on it all day with brandi. still have a bit more to go. i also learned how to do texas sales tax which was way easier.
at work we got to talking about soap operas. maggie and brandi watch all my children on the soap cable tv channel. remember all my children benny? good times. one summer we (me, mom, and benny) watched the today show, regis and kelly, the view, then amc. we wasted most of the day but we didn't care.
talmage comes home friday. it's gonna be weird to have him back. he's been gone for 2 years. it will be neat to see how he's changed. plus he gets to meet the nephews that were born in his absence for the first time.
can you imagine? living in a foreign country for two years. two years that are a big part of a young person's life. a time when you learn to become self-sufficient. when you test the boundaries of being an adult. when you cross the true threshold from adolescence to adulthood. and to live away from friends and family that can be instrumental in your development. to live with your faith as your only guide. amazing.
hmmm - i think i am gonna spend the rest of my free time this evening pricing things online for upgrading the house. i am such a nerd.
