smiling faces sometimes are lying

so i am a horrible blogger, it's been over a month since my last post... i just don't feel like blogging very often. and the last month has been a bit overwhelming. lots to type about, just not the time to type it.

here we go. and benny don't mock my layout :)

house stuff:
it is looking pretty sweet!! very excited. should be done in 2.5-3 months. scary. we've been working on the mortgage stuff this last week and lemme tell ya, it ain't no picnic. i have to say i am rockin an awesome credit score which helps, but since linc is the primary breadwinner in this partnership, my credit score doesn't mean a whole lot. poor linc... when he was 17 he got bonked on the head by a 2x4 and we are still feeling the aftermath. not saying it knocked him silly, although sometimes i wonder, haha, jkjk. but he had to go to the hospital to get staples in his head. his employer said they would pay for it since he was injured on the job. so once he got the bill he would send it to the company. then he moved away from home and the bills would go to the globe house. you know how it goes, takes a couple weeks to get them, then he would turn them into the company again. it has been almost 7 years and this is still haunting us. last fall when we started the mortgage paperwork, i pulled our credit reports and saw that this bill had gone to collections. $300. that's it. so we talked to the people and pay the dang thing. which should have helped the score. except it just makes it look like we have recent collection activity on our report and they are dinging us big time.

but we did qualify for financing and the rate isn't great but good, and the monthly payment is about what we expected.

work stuff:
at work in our new building we have a balcony that has some tables and chairs. well my coworkers and i go out there around 2:30 everyday for an afternoon break and have some of the wildest conversations. like yesterday we discussed why dogs do butt-wheelies on the carpet.

nothing else new at work... just butt wheelies.

puppy stuff:
pico is absolutely the cutest puppy ever!!! he is a bit rowdy sometimes and always wants to chew on my arm or nose if i get to close. but other than that, he is super cool. we've only had a few accidents (mostly on lincoln's watch) because the dog is so small and quick, he disappears from view so fast. we tried to put a bell on his collar but he just tried to eat it. not good. he likes to go for walks and play with tokey and play with his snuggles and bone and knows how to sit and come and sleeps through the night and this is the longest sentence ever.

rufus acts like a guard cat and doesn't let pico get out of line or out of the bedroom sometimes. rufus is doing better but it took him awhile to warm up to tokey. he is such a grouch.

life stuff:
linc completed his first triathlon in mexico a few weeks ago. my goal for next year is to do the same one. not saying i will do it in a good time but i will finish it. i really want to do this but it seems like right after we got back from mexico, i haven't been to the track once. and i haven't rode a bike in years and i don't really know how to swim. but i do have a year and i can do small things first, like bike rides or 10k's. but lately i've just been so tired from a lot of stuff but if that chubby 10 year old can do a triathlon this sorta pudgy 24 year old can too!!

i guess that's all for now. i need to make dinner and take pico for his walk.
