we'll have it good, we'll have the life we knew we would, my word is good

i've been meaning to blog for the last days but then i get lazy and decide against it. now that i am actually sitting here, i can't recall a dang thing i wanted to blog about...

house news:
estimated finish date - first week of august! yay, right in time for our 2/10 year anniversary! august 2nd we will have been married for 2 years but "together" for 10. what a great present. we go by every weekend to look at the progress. it is friggin amazing. linc has an appointment on tuesday for the pre-drywall inspection. very excited.

i've kinda decided what i want to do with the house, as far as color schemes and furnishings. but i am torn between two ideas. i want the cute, comfy, cozy house that you can actually live in. the soft, plush couches that you can flop down and sink into. the practical chairs and tables. the walls covered in family pictures. but i also kinda want to have the nice "model home" look too. practical is cheaper so we will probably go that way. we were supposed to go look at furniture, paint and window coverings today but i don't really want to anymore. we went by costco home store last night and lincoln and i have different ideas about what looks nice. i got a little frustrated and don't feel like doing that today. plus lincoln decided to do a bike race today in casa grande with his brother taylor so he will probably be too sore to want to wander stores.

work news:
we are moving into a new building this weekend. so this past week was practically a waste of a week as far as productivity goes. we spent a lot of time packing up stuff. we were supposed to move into this new building in december then january and now it is mid april and we are barely getting in there. i could go to the new building tomorrow to start unpacking so i don't waste my entire monday doing it but i won't get paid for that so i think i will go in an hour or two early on monday. it is a neat building, all shiny and new but the "pods" are mostly glass so there is no privacy at all. not like i got a whole lot in my cube but at least the walls weren't clear.

friday we did absolutely nothing. we were all packed by noon and just sat around because our two bosses were out so we asked our boss boss if we could leave and he said we had to stay till at least 4. so for 4 hours we sat around and looked at pictures on the internet, talked, and goofed off. we have a single guy in our group and another single guy who is in another department but was sitting by ours until the move. we were teasing them all afternoon about setting them up for dates. tried to get "types" out of them but they were real careful to not offend any of us and also to not imply we were their type, being married and all. but it was fun.

blah, i guess that is all for now. i am gonna go on itunes and get some new songs, then do chores... good times.
