today has been a 98% good day.
i went to bed early last night, around 9:30. although, i seriously laid on my bed doing absolutely nothing for an hour before i decided to call it a night.
got up this morning at a reasonable hour. started chores, paid the bills. made linc and me breakfast - whole wheat pancakes, pretty friggin fabulous! then we watched this old house.
showered up and headed out to south chandler. we will be house/dog sitting for my boss starting wednesday for a week. she has a pretty sweet house. and the dog is a schnauzer, although they keep his hair real short. he is well trained and super playful. grunts like neo :)
then we went to target and i picked up some new reading material. i find that keeps me distracted from other things. then we went to game crazy and i waited in a long line to buy lincoln a used nintendo 64 for his birthday. once it was my turn to pay, their computer crashed and they couldn't ring anyone up.
we headed to chandler mall to get sushi at kona grill. we got in an argument about whether or not the dodge viper that sped past us was really all that cool (i think not) and missed the mall exit. so we decided to head home. we ended up at uno's for some pizza for lunch/dinner. then went to another game crazy and linc decided he wanted to go to bookman's first to see if they had one for cheaper. then we came home.
here is the best part of the day. get ready for it. are you ready?
we took a nap!!! for several hours! i love midday naps with lincoln. i always wake up so content and feel like i can tackle anything.
i was quite ambitious after the nap. i did some laundry. cleaned up around our computer. organized our house paperwork. filed our taxes. picked out paint colors for the house. i'm feeling green. i even made a list of furniture to get and picked out some couches for the front room and the living room. i looked at window coverings and garage door openers. and i am going to put in a movie and file this year's worth of bills and misc what not. i am avoiding the dishes even though i made linc unload the dishwasher... blech, i hate dishes.
the 2% part of the day being sucky was 1% when lincoln left to go hang out with his cousin when i would much rather he be here with me and 1% the same thing that makes ever day a little bad. but only 1% today. which is good.
anywhoo - linc is back and he is way more important than blogging! :)
