i absolutely love when you meet a person for the first time and you are unsure of what to talk about but something comes up and it turns out you have quite a bit in common.
this past saturday i dragged the husband to a bbq being held at my physical therapist's house which is just a few blocks from our house in cortina. his girlfriend's name is melanie and she is 25, just like me. but i was a little nervouse because i had no idea if we would have anything to talk about.
as they were giving us a tour of the house, i noticed a stack of books on the night stand. she is reading the twilight series! yay! then the two of us (two short brunettes) started rambling on about what our favorite books and authors are and what books the other one needs to read. all while our guys just looked at us and shook their heads.
all in all the evening was a lot of fun. we ended up staying there till the early hours of the morning and then walked the few blocks home.
