i will be getting surgery on my 82 year old leg on the 22nd. after 10 weeks of physical therapy and 2 months of 4-5x a week at the gym, the doctor and i have reached the conclusion that i am too young to have an 82 year old leg. he will be doing a fasciotomy after all. not nearly as severe as if i had him do it before my therapy but still not pleasant.
2 incisions on the right side of my calf. he will decompress the nerve and slice open the fascia around the calf muscle right there.
i will be out of work for a week and on crutches for a few more weeks after that. but, if all goes well, i will no longer get the horrible lightning bolt pains down my leg, the cramping will stop, and i will be able to run again. i will do that triathlon in may, just you wait.
