sideshow bob

my sweet mister baby kitty ru (who was not so sweet all over our new carpet last fall) is an outside kitty now. we had a brief scare when he wanted to teach me a lesson and he took off for a few weeks, but all is well. he just sits out front in the grass or on the porch. he likes to visit with the neighbors as they get their mail. he even joins us on our walks with the dogs. he slinks along in the shadows a step or two behind us like a little ninja spy so the dogs don't get riled up.

he is a very friendly kitty and has had a few random cats come visit for a few days. but recently, one friend of his has decided to move in. we're not sure if the cat is male or female but we have affectionately named the kitty sideshow bob. no reason, just popped into my head while having a conversation with said kitty and the name stuck.

very odd cat. black. real stocky and gruff. has a horrible smoker's meow. always hungry. no collar and he has an owie on his backside like he got in a fight. if sideshow sticks around a few more weeks, we will take him to the vet to get him checked out and fixed if necessary. just trying to do our part to help reduce the pet population.

sideshow wanted to show his appreciation for his two meals a day so he left a dead lizard on our doorstep. throat ripped out and tail a few feet away. he was quite pleased with himself. me, not so pleased.

it is kinda nice to return home from work and be yelled at by a stranger for food. no, seriously, the two cats look like little black gargoyles keeping our home safe.
