update

today is my furlough day so i thought before i dive into some fabulously fun furlough friday activities, i would do a quick update to this oft neglected blog.

the avocado and myself are doing quite swimmingly at 16 weeks. i signed up with a baby website and get weekly emails with the current size and weight of my baby. which they always compare to a fruit or vegetable. wednesday's said the baby was roughly the size of an avocado. cracks me up every time. i am not carrying a child, but an entire produce section.

the morning/all day sickness has all but dissipated. now i am fast approaching heartburn territory. which is no fun.

i saw my ob 2 mondays ago and heard the hearbeat and some kicks. it was amazing. and i am starting to fully comprehend the joys of elastic. mom jeans don't seem so ridiculous these days.

so far the oddest physical change has been my belly button. i have an innie, but it is already threatening to be an outie. it seems like whatever it used to be attached to has released its grip and now i have this squishy thing for a button. and the space it lives in has gone from smaller than a dime to just barely under the size of a nickel.

moving on...

lincoln and i have come up with a list of projects to complete this summer. there are things that still need to be done in our house that i want to do before i get too big to be of help. and i know once the baby comes they will all be put on the back burner.

they mostly consist of painting, finishing the unfinished rooms, and completing the backyard.

we finished our master last week. walls to the room and bathroom are painted. curtains are hung. closet organized.

i'm starting the loft today. lincoln picked out the color. i'm a little nervous because it is quite bold for the room. but i'm sure it will turn out wonderfully. so i better get cracking...
