today on my drive home from work, this dog walked into the road right in front of me. luckily he was far enough over and i had time to swerve. i rushed home, grabbed lincoln, and we went to make sure he was ok. someone in our neighborhood had flyers up for a lost dog so we wanted to see if it was the same. no luck. different dog.
no ID. male, neutered, super sweet, and very obedient. looks like he was recently groomed.
we walked him around the neighborhood nearest the road we found him on and asked around. but nobody recognized him. we went back around later tonight with flyers. i put his picture up on craigslist, facebook, and pets911.com. i thought i would post here just in case anybody knows somebody that might know something.
lincoln will take him to the vet tomorrow to check for a micro chip. then i guess it is off to the animal shelter (EV MCACC). i hate to do that because he is obviously somebody's pet. but that's why you put collars on your dogs and make sure they have name tags with phone numbers.

why don't you keep him and have 3 dogletts?
i dont keep colars or anything on my dogs. But i think if they run away they'll find there way back. At least i know Rocky will, peggy is too chicken to go to far.
the owner saw my sign and came and got her dog zed. she says that she takes his collar off at night because he is too noisy but she forgot to put it back on him.
and he likes to go for walks and always comes home within an hour. but this time he got a lot further and almost got hit by several cars.
you know if peggy got lost, lincoln would be heartbroken. :)
I think that was nice of you guys to care enough to go to the trouble of making posters, etc. Lucky dog that you passed by him.
