yup, that's my belly at 39 weeks and 1 day. i saw my ob monday at 38w 5d and she estimated that baby h weighs 7lbs 10oz. she also estimates that i will go to my due date (dec. 9) or beyond. and that baby h will most likely be over 8lbs at birth. sweet kimball asked me if they just have me lay on my side and weigh my belly to guess the baby's weight. if only it was that easy and pleasant :)
i was supposed to start my maternity leave around 12/7 (next monday), but last week i started to get this awful pain in my right hip and down my leg. it just progressively got worse and by sunday i could hardly walk. i decided to start my leave early. after my ob appt monday, lincoln drove me to work, i cleaned up my desk, turned on my out of office notifications, and took the rest of the week as vacation.
and getting that epidural is looking more and more likely. i had really wanted to go as natural as possible but with this dang hip pain and size of the baby, the epidural will make it a lot easier to move me around to get the baby out. so we'll see how that turns out.
being at home all day wouldn't be so bad if i could at least move. stuck in bed or on the couch with nothing to do but read, watch movies, and browse the internet got old within 2 hours. there are a million things i want to do around the house but just can't. and lincoln is working like a dog to get as many hours as possible before the baby comes. he hasn't been getting home till close to 10pm the last few nights.
lucky for me, the important stuff is done. and baby isn't coming soon so i will most likely have this weekend to boss around lincoln.

really? lying in bed with internet, reading, and movies got old after 2 hours? That's my dream! you're living my dream!!
I wish I was still there! I would totally come keep you company, help you move around, and getting any last minute things done!! Hang in there! And let me know if you want to challenge me at some games on facebook!
