i've been having kinda a rough few weeks. balancing work and motherhood has been hard for me. i know plenty of moms do it all the time. but it still takes some getting used to.
mid-week lincoln told me that saturday he would get up with gem and let me catch up on some sleep. i kinda sorta took him up on that offer. he brought her to bed with us when she got up around 530 so i could feed her. but then when she got up around 8, he took her downstairs with him.
around 945 i stumbled out of bed and made my way downstairs. linc was on his way upstairs holding gem in one hand, and a mango colored rose in the other. he had hoped to catch me still sleeping.
then when i made it to the kitchen, there was a large bouquet of daisies (my favorite) and a box of dunkin donuts.
ya, i think i'll keep him.
